There’s a difference between friends, family, and Allie’s.
We all need allies in our lives.
Allies are important because they want to see your success, and understand your success doesn’t hinder theirs.
You could call them your personal board of directors.
Friends and family aren’t always Allies.
They’re still part of your realm, but as you grow as a person and become more successful at your career; a gap gets created.
Friends become jealous.
Family has a negative outlook on all of it and it’s tough emotionally.
It’s hardest when you feel alone. This is when depression, guilt, exhaustion, anxiety all start to creep in.
Who do you turn to in those moments that you can trust?
There’s a reason why the greatest have multiple professional coaches even for how to handle their family.
You start by investing into yourself to become part of these groups that put you around the right people for your life.
Church, business, and community groups are all there with like minded individuals and allies.
I’ve seen so many individuals and families improve because they take outside advice and then they go apply it.
The key to your family is setting the right expectation on the investment this is going to take.
Then it’s on you to make it worth it.
Don’t half ass anything.
IT HAS TO BE ALL IN.
It’s all in because of their sacrifice of the time and you owe to them because you want your family as your biggest ally.
It’s better to tell them 10 years and deliver in 8 years that saying a few months.
That’s where you get in trouble with everyone. Including yourself.
Make sure you’re seeking out coaching if you’re stuck and feeling alone.
You’re not. You have people that can really help you.
We handle coaching for the contracting industry and coaching for home services and small business coaching, and business consulting.
It’s tough navigating the waters as a business owner and it’s oftentimes lonely.
Outside opinions are necessary for your growth from those invested in your success.
They hold you accountable and help you find your blind spots In the different pillars of your life.
Find your allies, set expectations, and deliver.
